How To Find Legitimate Work From Home Opportunties

Finding legitimate work from home opportunities can be a daunting task. With all of the schemes out there and all of the hype it is hard to know what is genuine and what is not.

Google Is Your Friend

A great trick for rooting out scams or for finding out if an opportunity is more hype than truth is to google the opportunity name and add the word “scam” after it. You will get search results on pretty much anything you put in there, so read through a few of them. If it sounds more like disgruntled customers, then the opportunity is genuine.

Work At Home/Internet Marketing Forums

Visit a few of the work at home/internet marketing forums and search for your opportunity by name. If the opportunity has been out for a while, there will very likely be reviews on it by forum members.

Another reason to use forums when looking for legitimate reviews is that oftentimes the positive reviews you come across on the Internet are “fake reviews” written by affiliates to entice you to buy the product. You can tell a fake review from a real one by looking at the design of the site. If it is only a single page, and it lists one to four products, it is very likely a “thin” affiliate site and the reviews posted there are aimed at getting you to buy any one of the opportunities listed.

Great forums for doing research on work at home opportunities are The Warrior Forums and Digital Point Forums. You don’t have to become a member to browse the forum and read the reviews, but you do have to be a member to post if you have questions. Membership is free, so it can’t hurt.

Use the “Contact Us” Link

Finally, if there is any contact information listed on the product website, do not hesitate to send a quick email, or better yet, if there’s a phone number, make a quick call. Ask questions about the opportunity. Ask what type of investment/time requirements there are and how much you can make and how long it takes to see a return. If you can get a good answer to these questions, then chances are good that the opportunity is the real deal

You don’t have to fall for obvious scams. Doing your research will help you avoid those, and a lot of the time, will save you from the over-hyped programs as well.

Of course, there is never any guarantee that every money making opportunity you join will work for you, even if it is perfectly legitimate. It make take some time to find the one that works for you, but keep looking, and keep researching, and you will find your success!
