The statistics for making money online aren’t good. Only 5 percent of people who attempt to make money online ever make any money. Why do the other 95% fail? I’m going give you three reasons why, and tell you how you can avoid being among that 95 percent.

Reason #1: Failing To Determine Who Your Market Is

At the end of the day, making money online is about convincing people that you have the solution to their problem. In order to do that you need to know who your market is and what motivates them. Once you know that, you can tailor your advertising efforts to your market.

Finding out about your  market involves doing some research. Part of it is researching keywords to find out what people are interested in, and then from there looking at what problems or desires those keywords represent.

Once you know what what people are searching for and what problems they are looking to solve, you can create useful content and suggest some products or services that will solve their problems.

Reason #2: Not Enough Follow Through

A lot of people will jump from program to program, looking for that magic button that will cause hundreds and thousands of dollars to start rolling into their bank accounts. When this does not happen, most people will drop one program and move on to the next one. They will spend hundreds of dollars and a lot of wasted time jumping from program to program in the search for the magic button that does not exist.

It takes time, hard work, and dedication to make any program produce results. Of course, there is no one size fits all in the work at home world and certain people do better with some programs and not with others, but you can’t determine whether or not a program is working for you on the basis of a few days.

A good rule of thumb is to give any program you join at least a good month to show you results, some times longer, before throwing in the towel and moving on to the next one.

Reason #3:Falling for Hyped Up Programs that are Outright Scams or Borderline Scams

This one is the most frustrating for me as a marketer of make money programs. Most people, given the choice between a program that is honest about potential earnings and the amount of time and money that will need to be invested for the program to work, and a hyped up scam program that promises instant riches in exchange for a  fee, will gravitate toward the scam instead of the genuine opportunity.

You can change that right now by making a vow to yourself that you won’t believe the hype and go for the real thing, realizing that making money online is no different that making money offline. It takes dedication, effort and perseverance
