How To Make Money from Home Without Scams

Let’s face it: the work-at-home industry has a bad reputation, and unfortunately, a lot of it is well deserved. There are countless programs to make money from home out there that, when you break them down to the essentials, are really nothing but scams. So how do you protect yourself? This article will explain how to make money from home without scams.

Dollarzblaster Scam Revisited: Example Of A Pyramid Scheme

I first wrote about the Dollarzblaster scam a little over a year ago. I’ve checked, and they’re still online, so I thought I had better post another warning about them and share more details about my experience with them.

What they offer sounds incredibly good, in fact, TOO good to be true: for just $25, you will earn a position in what they call their random column selection (RSC.) In addition, 29 more positions will be created. It works like a big, multilayered chain, and you are paid every time your link in the chain reaches the top. Your links in the chain are constantly rotated until you earn at least $9000. In addition, for every person whom you personally sponsor into the system, an additional 29 links in the chain will be generated for you.

Five Work From Home Internet Scams To Avoid

With the economy continuing to decline, more and more people are being taken by work from home internet scams. It is sad to see, since the people who are the most vulnerable seem to be hit the hardest, and hopefully this post will help you avoid becoming another victim.

Online Data Entry Jobs

This is a very common work from home Internet scam you’ll see advertised out there. The sales page will say that for a small fee, you will get access to companies that pay you to fill out a simple form online. Sounds good, right? There’s one huge problem with this, though. The form the ad is referring to is the Google Adwords ad creation interface, and the companies they are referring to are Paydotcom, and Clickbank, which are affiliate networks.

Are All MLMs Inherently Scams???

There is almost no dirtier word than “multi-level marketing,” or MLM,  in the work at home sphere.  When you hear or see the word, MLM,  impressions of pyramid schemes immediately come to mind. In fact, people often view MLM as synonymous with “pyramid scheme.”

While it is true that some MLMs are pyramid  schemes,  not all of them are,  and conflating the two is, in fact, erroneous. Before going any further into this, it might be useful to define some terms:

From Wikipedia:

Craigslist Spammer: Watch Out!

My husband and I are planning to move back to Winnipeg,  Manitoba, where he’s  from originally because the job market for him is dismal here in California.  We’re planning to move some time next Spring.

Well, in his own job searching, he finds this ad on Craigslist: Web Blogger/Article Writer and he sends it to me.  Since blogging and article writing are what I do, I respond to this, thinking I might be able to do the work from here and it will be another income source….can’t have too many of those, right?

The first response I got was this email:

Data Entry Job Scams

You’ve seen the ads for these things all over the Internet. These programs purport to show you how you can earn money filing out simple three line forms all day online. You can make $3000 a month or more by doing this, they say, and they GUARANTEE it, of all things!

What they don’t tell you is that they are really introducing you to affiliate marketing, which by the way, is a genuine way to earn money online, and the typing that you’ll be doing is placing ads online, especially through Google Adwords.

Dollarzblaster – Scam – Stay Away!

Last year I was unfortunate enough to come across an ad for this program. It promises that for a small investment of $10 that you will earn over $9000 over time. I drank the Koolaid, and signed up.

Supposedly, the Dollarzblaster team is supposed to place ads for you and when someone joins the program through your ad, that person is placed under you and you get $5 and the person who referred you gets $5. Additionally, 10 more spaces in the matrix get opened up under your username, which gives you exposure and improves the odds that ads people see will be yours. The more people you refer, the more spots you get, etc.
